Mark Showmaker is a 30 year veteran of the fire service. Chief Showmaker began his career with the Southampton Volunteer Fire Company in Southampton Pennsylvania. Chief Showmaker worked his way up through the ranks to the position of Fire Chief. Chief Showmaker  was employed as a civilian career firefighter with the Department of the Navy in Warminster Pa. Chief Showmaker also was employed as the Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Coordinator for the County of Bucks Pa. For the past 11 years Chief Showmaker has been employed as the Chief Fire Marshal/Emergency Management Director for Upper Southampton Township Pa. 

Chief Showmaker is an active member in many fire service organizations which include: The Bucks County Fire Chiefs Association, Keystone State Fire Chiefs, Serves as the Vice president of the Bucks County Fire Marshals Association, Chairman of the Bucks County LEPC,The International Association of Fire Chiefs currently serving as the Pennsylvania Director, International Association of Arson Investigators, Pennsylvania Association of Arson Investigators, Vice Chairman of the Northeast Code Action Committee of the International Code Council, The Pennsylvania Association of Code Officials. Chief Showmaker holds the national designation of Chief Fire Officer as issued by the IAFC/CPSE. Chief Showmaker has received International Credentials through the Institute of Fire Engineers (MIFireE). Chief Showmaker is also a Certified Fire and Explosive Investigator and a Certified Code Official.    

Chief Showmaker is a life long resident of Upper Southampton Pa. Chief Showmaker is married to his wife Wendy of 20 years and has 3 children Nikki, Carli, and Randy.
